Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Roll Off Driver to join our dynamic waste management team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized roll-off trucks to transport and dispose of waste materials efficiently and safely. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route management, and safety protocols will ensure seamless service delivery for municipal and commercial clients. Duties

• Operate roll-off trucks, adhering strictly to traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and state transportation laws.
• Load, unload, and transport waste materials safely using mechanical knowledge of front-end loaders and other equipment.
• Drive assigned routes efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of all trips.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections focusing on air brake systems, manual transmission functionality, and overall vehicle safety.
• Load and unload waste containers with heavy lifting techniques while following safety protocols to prevent injuries.
• Maintain excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs.
• Follow hazardous materials regulations when handling special waste streams and ensure compliance with all safety standards during outdoor work activities.

Experience

• Proven experience operating roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, or similar commercial vehicles in municipal or private waste management settings.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck mechanics, including air brake systems and manual transmissions.
• Demonstrated ability to drive safely under various traffic conditions while adhering to DOT and state transportation regulations.
• Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and solid waste management practices.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols related to waste transportation.
• Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism during client interactions.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, and long driving shifts is essential.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
