Trash Truck Driver/Help - No CDL required

Job Summary

Join the Turtle team and help keep Wilmington clean! We’re a local waste and recycling company looking for dependable people to join our residential collection crews.

This is a combined driving and loading position. You’ll spend part of the day driving one of our under-CDL garbage trucks and part of the day helping collect trash and recycling, return carts, and assist your crew.

No CDL is required — all of our collection trucks can be driven with a regular Class C driver’s license.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active, working outdoors, and being part of a small local team.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive residential trash and recycling collection routes
• Collect trash and recycling and return carts to customers
• Follow routing software and assigned daily routes
• Assist with basic truck cleaning, inspections, and upkeep
• Work safely and efficiently with your crew
• Provide friendly, professional service to customers and residents
• Follow company safety procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Valid class C driver’s license
• Ability to safely operate larger vehicles
• Clean driving record preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
• Comfortable repeatedly getting in and out of the truck
• Dependable and able to arrive on time for early-morning routes
• Able to follow maps, routing software, and instructions
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Previous experience driving larger trucks, delivery vehicles, landscaping trucks, equipment, or similar vehicles is a plus, but not required

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 44.0 per week
