Responsibilities

• Safely operate septic trucks equipped with tanker or flatbed configurations for waste transportation across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
• Load and unload waste materials using manual handling techniques while adhering to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups at designated locations, maintaining efficient route driving practices.
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of transportation.
• Manage truck loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper handling of dangerous goods and hazardous substances.
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks, including refrigerated trailers when applicable, to maintain vehicle safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, route details, and compliance documentation in accordance with logistics cargo handling standards.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to tanker.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on septic or tanker truck operations.
• Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations including FMCSA, DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with manual handling procedures for load & unload activities.
• Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery schedules across diverse locations.
• Ability to safely handle hazardous or dangerous goods while complying with all safety protocols.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety, responsibility, and professionalism.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
