Front Load Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Front Load Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating front load trucks and other commercial waste collection vehicles to efficiently and safely collect waste and recyclables from designated routes. Your proactive approach will ensure timely pickups, adherence to safety protocols, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Operate front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Safely load, unload, and transport waste materials, including hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Drive route-specific vehicles with manual transmission or automatic options, ensuring timely collection from residential, commercial, or municipal sites.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure safety standards are met.
• Load and unload waste containers efficiently using front-end loaders or manual lifting techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, route logs, and vehicle maintenance reports.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions professionally and resolving issues promptly during collection activities.
• Follow all safety procedures related to heavy lifting, outdoor work conditions, traffic laws, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure personal and team safety.

Experience

• Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or roll-off trucks in a commercial or municipal setting.
• Knowledge of solid waste management practices and heavy equipment operation including front-end loaders.
• Familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, state transportation laws, and safety protocol adherence.
• Previous delivery driver experience with route driving responsibilities preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques essential for safe operations on busy routes.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
