Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols.
• Load, unload, and transport waste containers with precision, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials when applicable.
• Manage route driving efficiently by following designated schedules while maintaining awareness of traffic laws and municipal waste management guidelines.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck’s mechanical systems, including air brake systems and manual transmission components.
• Load and unload waste containers manually or with front-end loaders, ensuring proper placement for disposal or recycling purposes.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, route details, and compliance with state transportation regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs, addressing questions or concerns promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience operating roll-off trucks models in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols related to hazardous materials regulations, air brake systems, DOT regulations, and municipal waste management standards.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, route planning strategies, and state transportation regulations for commercial drivers.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor work environments under varying weather conditions.
• Exceptional customer service skills coupled with clear communication abilities to foster positive interactions with clients and team members alike.
