Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver/ Pump Tech, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Pumping septic and grease tanks. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to operate a tanker truck safely. Candidates should have strong people skills and not mind working with the public.
Duties
- Operate a Vacuum truck in a safe manner.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Pump septic tanks to remove solids and thoroughly clean tanks.
- Follow designated routes for drivers, while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules and any issues encountered.
- Utilize manual transmission when required and demonstrate proficiency in route driving.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during transportation and loading/unloading processes.
- The candidate will be required to dig up to 6-12" and drag septic hoses from the truck to the septic tank.
- Candidate must be able to keep the interior and exterior of the truck clean.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license Class B (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a must.
- Experience pumping is a plus but not needed. Willing to train the right candidate.
- Pay is weekly, Plenty of overtime available.
