Full-Time | Salary: $120,000–$140,000 based on experience

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable and organized Shop Manager & Technical Assistant to oversee our shop and help manage the maintenance and daily needs of our truck and equipment fleet.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically knowledgeable, comfortable with technology, and able to work independently. A valid CDL license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shop operations and keep the shop organized.
• Coordinate truck maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Order truck, automotive, and equipment parts and supplies.
• Maintain parts inventory and work with vendors and repair shops.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, data logs, and vehicle histories.
• Monitor and assist with GPS and fleet tracking systems.
• Drive and maneuver trucks and equipment around the yard and shop as needed.
• Assist with troubleshooting, breakdowns, and emergency repairs.
• Communicate maintenance needs and issues to management.
• Help ensure trucks and equipment are safe, maintained, and ready for service.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL license required.
• Must speak and understand English; Bilingual is a plus

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.

• Experience with trucks, fleet operations, automotive, or heavy equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience ordering truck or automotive parts.
• Good computer skills and comfortable with operating GPS or fleet tracking systems.
• Very organized with strong recordkeeping and data-entry skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Ideal Candidate

Someone who is hands-on, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and management.

Experience with heavy-duty or refuse trucks is a plus.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, based on experience.

Hours: 10am-7pm, Monday through Fridays, with some Saturday's Required.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
