Septic Truck Driver

Join our dynamic team as a Septic Truck Driver and take on an energetic role that keeps communities moving smoothly! In this vital position, you will operate specialized septic service trucks to transport and dispose of waste materials safely and efficiently. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely service delivery while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on over-the-road (OTR) routes, manage hazardous materials responsibly, and be a key player in environmental health and safety initiatives.

Duties

• Safely operate septic service trucks, including tractor-trailers and tanker trucks, across designated routes, including OTR driving routes.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques while complying with logistics cargo handling procedures.
• Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized delivery routes and ensure punctual service delivery.
• Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with Hazmat regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and vehicle safety standards.
• Load and unload equipment or waste materials at customer sites, following proper truck loading protocols such as flatbed or tanker operations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat) and tanker vehicles.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving, route driving, and freight transportation.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tractor-trailers, and automobile transportation is a plus.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols for manual transmission trucks.
• Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes while following safety procedures.
• Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems to plan efficient routes for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
• Excellent driving record with experience in truck loading/unloading, logistics cargo handling, and delivery operations.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
