Responsibilities
- Safely operate septic trucks equipped with tanks and pumps, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Navigate over-the-road (OTR) routes using GPS navigation systems to reach designated job sites efficiently
- Load, unload, and service septic tanks, performing manual handling tasks with precision and safety
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and service activities in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and trucking regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checking for hazardous materials or dangerous goods, ensuring truck safety and readiness for each shift
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any route or service issues
- Ensure proper documentation of freight, route driving details, and compliance with DOT regulations for all transportation activities
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in tractor-trailer or septic truck operation preferred
- Proven experience in delivery driving, truck loading/unloading, and route driving within logistics or transportation sectors
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) and safe manual handling procedures for dangerous goods
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker operations, and automobile transportation is a plus
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently on various routes including OTR driving routes
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols related to commercial truck driving
- Excellent driving skills combined with the ability to load & unload freight efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks regularly and work in diverse weather conditions

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
