We are seeking a motivated and dependable Septic Pump Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized septic pumping trucks to service residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and handling hazardous materials will ensure efficient, safe, and timely septic system maintenance. Duties

  • Safely operate septic pump trucks equipped with tanker and flatbed configurations, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
  • Navigate over the road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to reach customer locations promptly and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, and secure logistics cargo handling materials necessary for septic service operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of trucks, including refrigerated trailers when applicable, ensuring compliance with hazardous materials regulations and truck safety standards.
  • Perform manual handling tasks during equipment setup, maintenance, and cleaning procedures at job sites.
  • Route driving responsibilities include delivery driving to various locations while managing hazardous goods and dangerous goods transportation safely.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including load & unload logs, route records, and incident reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams for route adjustments or logistical updates to optimize service delivery.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on tractor-trailer operations and route driving.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and proper handling of dangerous goods during transportation.
  • Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and effectively under various conditions.
  • Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling on flatbeds or tankers as required.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and safety standards.
  • Excellent manual handling skills for equipment setup, maintenance tasks, and cargo management.
  • Experience with refrigerated trailers is a plus for specialized service routes.
