Overview

As a Roll-Off Driver – CDL Class B in Dallas, TX, you’ll operate a roll-off truck to collect and transport waste safely and reliably. You’ll follow assigned routes, work outdoors in changing conditions, and interact professionally with customers and the public. This paid position requires safe commercial driving and careful handling of equipment and loads.

Responsibilities

• Drive a roll-off truck on assigned routes and complete pickups and deliveries.
• Load and unload containers, securing each load before travel; perform heavy lifting as needed.
• Follow defensive driving practices, traffic laws, safety protocols, and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and state transportation regulations, including hazardous materials regulations when relevant.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, using mechanical knowledge to identify issues and report needed repairs.
• Provide courteous customer service and support solid waste and municipal waste management operations. Your impact: Safe, dependable collections help customers and communities keep waste moving responsibly.

Additional

• Deliver, swap, and pick up roll-off containers at commercial, industrial, and construction sites
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Safely operate a roll-off truck in compliance with DOT regulations
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to keep routes on schedule
• Work independently, often in early mornings with limited real-time support
• Troubleshoot and handle minor mechanical issues on the truck, and accurately diagnose and report larger problems to management
• Keep accurate logs and paperwork

Experience

• Valid CDL Class B
• Current DOT medical card
• Acceptable driving record (MVR)
• Must pass a DOT drug screen and background check
• Basic mechanical knowledge, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and clearly describe truck issues
• Comfortable making sound decisions on your own
• Dependable, with strong attendance
• Self-starter who can work independently
• Out-of-the-box thinker who’s good at figuring things out

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 60.0 per week
