Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Safely operate septic pump trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and other commercial trucks, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and state transportation regulations
• Load and unload waste materials efficiently while adhering to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
• Drive route schedules to service designated locations, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs in compliance with traffic laws
• Perform routine inspections of trucks for mechanical issues, air brake systems, and overall safety before and after shifts
• Maintain accurate logs of routes driven, waste volumes handled, and service details for record-keeping purposes
• Interact professionally with customers to explain services, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction with the waste removal process
• Follow all safety procedures during outdoor work activities including heavy lifting and handling hazardous materials

Skills

• Proven experience operating various commercial trucks such as septic pump trucks, garbage trucks (front-end loaders, rear loaders), roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazard communication standards, and safety protocols for commercial driving
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic truck maintenance checks and identify mechanical issues promptly
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; defensive driving experience preferred
• Familiarity with solid waste management practices and municipal waste collection processes
• Ability to load & unload materials manually when necessary while maintaining safety standards
• Customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients on-site or over the phone
• Outdoor work experience in varying weather conditions; comfortable performing heavy lifting when required

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
