Job Description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics network! In this energetic role, you will operate Vac septic trucks, dump truck and pup, transport trailer and various specialized trucks to provide service and support to our customers and excavation crews . Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. If you enjoy being home every night this job is for you. Our team generally work 4 ten hour days with a rotational schedule of being on weekend call with emergency call out pay.

Duties

  • Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently.
  • Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment, ensuring proper securing of loads according to safety standards.
  • Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain accurate delivery schedules.
  • Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), regulations during all phases of transportation.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure and after arrival.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials at various destinations.
  • Provide septic, sewer and cistern service to customers as needed.

Skills

  • Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across diverse environments.
  • Familiarity with vac trucks or pump trucks, dump trucks, and equipment transportation is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols for transporting goods and equipment.
  • Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and adjustments on the fly.
  • Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service during deliveries.
  • Capable of managing truck loading/unloading processes while maintaining compliance with all safety standards.
