Duties
- Safely operate various types of waste management trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and garbage trucks, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws.
- Pump septic tanks and transport waste materials efficiently between sites, adhering to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
- Load and unload waste containers using front-end loaders or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, and report any maintenance needs to ensure optimal truck performance.
- Follow designated routes for route driving, maintaining punctuality while navigating traffic laws and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during service visits, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily operations including route completion, waste volumes transported, and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), including air brake endorsement, and Tank endorsement.
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safe operation of front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks.
- Familiarity with traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocol adherence.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting of truck systems and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
