Overview
We are looking for a reliable, safety focused Roll Off Driver to safely operate a commerical heavy truck, deliver an pick up large roll-off dumpsters/containers, and transport waste or construction debris to designated disposal sites. You will manage a local route, provide great service to our commercial and residential customers, and maintain daily vehicle safety logs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a roll-off truck along assigned local routes and to disposal facilities/landfills.
- Secure, load, and unload large containers using hydraulic hoist controls, cables, and hooks.
- Handle and secure tarps over open-top containers as required by safety and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete electronic or written Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding route updates, site challenges, or customer questions.
- Follow all company safety policies and local, state, and federal (DOT/OSHA) regulations.
Qualifications
License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with an air brakes endorsement.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of verifiable CDL driving experience: previous roll-off or waste collection experience is a major plus.
Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations.
Age: At least 25 years old ( for insurance purposes).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb truck ladders/steps, bend, push/pull, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening, and use a company-provided mobile device or GPS.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
