Roll-Off Driver

Must be able to pass extensive government background check to obtain a base ID

Required to pass a Pre-employment DOT Drug and Alcohol screening prior to being hired.

Must have a valid CDL license

Must have or be able to obtain DOT Medical Card prior to employment.

We are looking for a CDL driver to fill the role of Roll-off Driver.

• Operate vehicles in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, reporting any issues immediately.
• Collaborate with Area Manager and Customer Service Representative to improve routes efficiencies and address any problems or unsafe accounts.
• Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• ·Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, addressing their requests or issues promptly.
• Completely empty all containers and leave customer locations clean and free of debris.
• Notify Area Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage immediately.
• Assist other company drivers as directed by Customer Service Representative or Area Manager.
• Report any blocked containers, potential missed pick-ups, or route problems to CSR or Area Manager.
• Be willing to learn or have Front Load truck experience and willingness to fill for Front load route occasionally.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A or B
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one prior to hire.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass Government background check for Base ID.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of truck components and basic maintenance requirements for safe operation.
• Ability to maneuver truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces using mirrors and back distances of approximately 120 feet or more.
• Skill in recognizing unacceptable waste materials.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents and maps.
• Capacity to follow oral and written instructions.
• Physical strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs repetitively using proper lifting techniques.
• Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Basic computer/or tablet skills required.

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Ability to perform various physical tasks and operate equipment.
• Visual requirements for safe vehicle maneuvering
• Capacity to lift/move objects of varying weights.
• Frequent sitting due to driving responsibilities.
• Ability to work in loud and sometimes challenging environmental conditions.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to loud noise, weather elements, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, airborne particles.
• Work primarily conducted outdoors in motor vehicle traffic conditions.
• Utilization of GPS and cameras for monitoring vehicle activities.

Pay: From $23.57 per hour
