Roll-Off Truck Driver – Demolition Company

Location: North Charleston, SC
Position Type: Full-Time

We are a demolition company in North Charleston seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Roll-Off Truck Driver (Class A or B CDL)to transport dumpsters and waste containers from demolition job sites to landfills and recycling facilities. The ideal candidate has at least two years of commercial driving experience, excellent attendance, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safe and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles as assigned.
• Transport dumpsters and waste containers between demolition job sites, landfills, and recycling facilities.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Secure and handle loads according to applicable safety regulations.
• Follow assigned routes using GPS and coordinate pickups, deliveries, and schedule changes with dispatch.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
• Comply with DOT, FMCSA, company safety policies, and applicable waste-handling regulations.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow job-site safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean truck and represent the company professionally at job sites and disposal facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of roll-off, tractor trailer or dump truck driving experience.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL required.
• Clean 3-year motor vehicle record (MVR); a 10-year driving record must be provided for review.
• Valid REAL ID required.
• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain access to military installations.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
