METAL SCRAP YARD WORKER

General Responsibilities

Jobs assigned may include the following:

● Big/Small Scale Operator

● Vehicle Dismantling

● Sort/Grade/Clean various materials

● Metal Torching/Cutting

● Loading and unloading scrap metals

Qualifications

● Valid driver’s license preferred, MUST HAVE dependable transportation.

● Basic computer/tablet skills.

● Physical ability to perform job duties as assigned. Physical demands may include heavy lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, etc. Employees must be able to work in the heat/cold and be prepared with the appropriate clothing/footwear to safely do so.

General Hours & Compensation

● Full Time: Monday-Friday, 7:45am-5:00pm (start and end times may vary, must be flexible)

● Part Time Applicants MAY be considered

● Willingness and ability to work SOME weekends AS NEEDED

● Pay is negotiable depending on success and experience. Base wage is $15/hour to $21/hour.

Bonus Skills

● Some general mechanical knowledge/abilities

● Heavy Equipment Operator experience

● Knowledge of recyclable metal materials

● Steel / Metal Cutting Experience with torches

● CDL
