Mechanic

Join our family-owned company as a Mechanic, inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and stationary equipment. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, you will help keep our fleet dependable and our equipment safe for operators. Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance and repairs based on drivers pre-trip and post-trip inspections and direction from the Maintenance Manager.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to support equipment reliability and availability.
• Identify and correct defects that affect equipment operation or operator safety.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair trucks and stationary equipment.
• Adjust brakes, clutches, and other vehicle and equipment components.
• Adjust hydraulic pressures and repair, rebuild, or replace hydraulic components and hoses on vehicles and stationary equipment.
• Change and repair tires.
• Operate grinders and sanders.
• Follow company safety policies and applicable regulations in all work.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment.
• Valid Class A, B, or C drivers license.
• At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Preferred: ability to use diagnostic tools and a good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
