Local Class B CDL Roll-Off Driver – Home Daily

Potomac Metals, Inc. is hiring an experienced Class B CDL Roll-Off Driver for our Sterling, Virginia location. We are a regional recycling company with more than 150 employees across 10 locations.

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up roll-off containers at customer locations, job sites, and company facilities. We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded driver who can work independently and provide professional service to our customers.

Schedule

• Full-time position with overtime opportunities.
• Start time is typically around 7:00 AM.
• End times vary depending on the assigned route.
• Home daily.
• Steady, year-round work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely operate roll-off trucks on assigned routes.
• Deliver, exchange, and pick up roll-off containers.
• Properly secure containers and loads before transport.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Identify and report equipment or safety concerns.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries and pickups.
• Provide professional and courteous service at customer locations.
• Complete required paperwork and delivery records.
• Keep the assigned truck clean and in good operating condition.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL in good standing.
• Minimum of two years of combined roll-off or dump-truck driving experience.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to safely operate at customer yards, job sites, and recycling facilities.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb in and out of the truck and perform the physical duties of the position.
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating manual and automatic roll-off trucks.
• Knowledge of Northern Virginia and the surrounding area.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Experience working in recycling, construction, waste management, or a similar industry.
