United Parts Supply is seeking dependable, safety-minded individuals to receive, identify, sort, and process recyclable metals and automotive parts.

Our priority is hiring candidates with metal recycling or automotive industry experience. We will also consider applicants with a solid background in construction, demolition, material handling, or similar physically demanding outdoor work.

This position involves hands-on labor in our recycling yard, warehouse, and covered work areas. Applicants should understand and be comfortable with the demands of working outdoors in Houston’s heat and humidity.

You do not need experience in both metals and automotive work. Relevant experience in either area is valuable.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals into the correct categories.
  • Assist with processing and preparing materials for storage or shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Work with your team to meet daily production goals.
  • Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Operate forklifts or other equipment when properly trained and authorized.
  • Assist with other yard and warehouse duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant metal recycling, automotive, salvage, or related hands-on experience.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions and learn our processes.
  • Attention to detail when identifying and separating materials.
  • Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and unloading materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including Houston’s heat and humidity.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Candidates with related outdoor labor experience will also be considered. Please describe how your previous work has prepared you for this position.

What We Offer

  • Consistent full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.
  • Starting pay of $18/hour, with experience considered.
  • Benefits available after the probationary period.
  • Opportunities to develop new skills and gain experience in the recycling industry.
  • A team environment that values safety, communication, and hard work.
