Job Summary

Junk King is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Part-Time Truck Driver / Crew Member to join our team.

The employee will drive a company vehicle to residential and commercial customer locations, safely remove unwanted items, load and unload materials, and provide professional customer service.

This is a hands-on position that requires physical labor, safe driving, and the ability to work effectively with customers and other crew members.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle safely to and from customer locations.
• Pick up and remove furniture, appliances, household items, construction debris, and other approved materials.
• Lift, carry, load, and unload items safely.
• Protect customers' homes, businesses, floors, walls, and property during removal services.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with questions regarding their junk removal service.
• Take before-and-after photos and complete required job documentation.
• Process customer payments when assigned.
• Sort materials for disposal, recycling, or donation.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and organized.
• Perform basic daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and applicable disposal regulations.
• Work efficiently with other crew members to complete scheduled jobs.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• No CDL required.
• Ability to safely operate the company vehicle provided.
• Previous experience in driving, moving, delivery, junk removal, construction, warehouse, or similar work is a plus but not required.
• Must be comfortable performing physical labor and lifting heavy items.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass any required background and driving-record checks.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift heavy and bulky items safely.
• Ability to climb stairs and maneuver items through homes and businesses.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Schedule

• Part-time
• Approximately 15–25 hours per week, depending on business needs.
• Flexible scheduling may be available.
• Weekend availability is a plus.
• Schedule may vary based on customer appointments.

Compensation
