Job Description

HEAVY DUTY DRIVER – ROLL-OFF/FLAT BED
We are looking for a reliable Roll-off/Flat Bed Truck driver for our salvage yard in Seffner, Florida to haul roll-off cars to local dumpsites. Must possess a Class A driver’s license.
****MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE STICK/MANUAL*****
Responsibilities
  • 2 years’ experience driving Roll-off truck or equivalent.
  • Tow heavy duty trucks, semis, trailers, box truck from the lot to salvage or auction.
  • Must have a good driving record, ability to pass DOT background and drug screening.
  • Loading and unloading roll-off cans on to the truck at our local facility and at the dumpsite. Hauling Scrap metal and occasional C&D (construction and debris)
  • Capable of securing the loads for safe hauling.
  • Provides service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of auto salvage operation.
  • Exhibits a positive attitude.
  • Performs Daily Pre and Post Trip inspections and follow DOT guidelines.
  • Completes Safety activity in accordance with the company’s safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle follows DOT and company standards.
  • Completes daily reports, maintains written records and service requirements. Required use of a tablet.
  • Report each scheduled day, on‐time, ready and able to work, well‐groomed and in uniform.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a Class A CDL valid for the state in which the position works. Requires a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • At least two (2) years of relative commercial driving experience
  • Understand policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices, understanding Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Must be fluent in English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals, and be able to read and write make legible entries on paperwork and have computer knowledge.
  • Understand DOT laws and requirements for operators of commercial vehicles.
Physical Requirements
Job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. significant physical strength and stamina. Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs. good hearing and vision required.
