Responsibilities

• Safely operate front loader trucks to collect municipal waste according to designated routes.
• Load and unload waste containers efficiently using front-end loaders or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Follow all traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and state transportation regulations during route driving.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads, and disposal activities; complete shift reports promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route changes or safety concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer's questions or concerns professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL B) with experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or roll-off trucks preferred.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with knowledge of traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically handle waste containers safely.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and solid waste management practices.
• Demonstrated defensive driving skills and adherence to safety standards at all times.
• Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
• Proficient with Technology to follow GPS, routing, and complete tasks

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
