Experienced Demolition Laborer

IMMEDIATELY HIRING: DEMOLITION LABORER/DRIVER

Power Component Systems, Inc. (PCS) is immediately hiring dependable, hardworking Demolition Laborers/Drivers for our Henrico, Virginia division.

PCS is a leading provider of specialized environmental construction services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Our teams work in federal, industrial, commercial, institutional, transportation, and healthcare facilities.

This position involves physically demanding demolition work and regularly driving company vehicles to transport employees, tools, equipment, and materials to and from project locations. Applicants must be reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable traveling to different job sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles between the Henrico location and project sites.
• Transport employees, tools, equipment, materials, and supplies as assigned.
• Perform interior and exterior demolition.
• Remove construction materials, flooring, concrete, and debris.
• Load, unload, move, and properly dispose of job-site materials.
• Assist with job-site preparation, organization, and cleanup.
• Use hand tools and powered equipment after receiving proper training.
• Follow supervisor instructions and complete assignments safely and efficiently.
• Follow all PCS safety programs and job-site procedures.
• Complete daily timesheets, vehicle documentation, and required safety paperwork.
• Assist with specialized projects, including asbestos abatement, lead-based paint treatment, mold remediation, water and fire damage restoration, concrete cutting, core drilling, and surface preparation.
• Travel and work out of town when required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
• Must be willing and able to drive company vehicles as an essential part of the position.
• Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the Henrico location and assigned job sites. Many project locations are not accessible by public transportation.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work throughout shifts of up to 10 hours.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, dusty, and changing weather conditions.
• Must be available for varying shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Must be willing to travel throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., when required.
• Must be able to meet project-specific requirements for entry into federal and secured facilities.
• Must follow all company and job-site safety policies.
• Must comply with the company’s drug-free workplace requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of demolition, construction, restoration, environmental remediation, or general labor experience.
• Experience driving work trucks or transporting crews, tools, materials, or equipment.
• Experience using construction hand tools and powered equipment.
• OSHA 10 or other construction safety training.
• Current asbestos certification.
