Job Description

Overview

e-Waste, LLC is an R2v3 and ISO 9001/14001/45001-certified IT asset disposition (ITAD), data destruction, and electronics recycling company. Hospitals, manufacturers, schools, and government agencies rely on us to retire their IT equipment securely, with full chain of custody, certified data destruction, and a zero-landfill guarantee. We're growing and need a dependable driver who takes pride in doing the job right.

Job Summary

The Driver / Logistics Technician picks up retired IT equipment from client sites across Northeast Ohio and the surrounding region. This includes computers, servers, network gear, hard drives, and other electronics. While on site, you'll pack, palletize, wrap, and load equipment, and you'll follow our chain-of-custody procedures for data-bearing devices. When you're not on the road, you'll help in the warehouse with receiving, sorting, and shipping.

Duties

  • Drive a box truck [26 ft or 16ft] with liftgate to scheduled client pickups and deliveries.
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report any damage or maintenance issues.
  • Arrive on time and keep dispatch and the client contact updated on any delays.
  • Verify equipment against pickup lists, record serial numbers and asset tags, and get client sign-off.
  • Maintain secure chain of custody for all data-bearing equipment from pickup to our facility.
  • Safely pack, wrap, palletize, load, secure, and unload equipment using pallet jacks, dollies, shrink wrap, and straps.
  • Represent eWaste professionally on client sites, many of which are secure facilities such as hospitals and data centers.
  • Submit receipts and route paperwork on time.
  • Help in the warehouse with receiving, sorting, gaylord and pallet building, and outbound shipments.
  • Follow all safety procedures on the road, at client sites, and in the warehouse.

Experience/Requirements

  • Valid Ohio driver's license in good standing
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check. Our clients trust us with sensitive data, so this is required.
  • [1–2] years of box truck driving experience preferred.
  • Experience with palletizing, shrink wrapping, or freight handling is a plus. Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with customers.
  • Regularly lift up to [50–75] lbs, and push, pull, bend, and stand for long periods.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid training
