Driver for Organics Recycling Route - CDL Required

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating waste/recycling trucks. This role involves driving to various locations to pick up organic material while ensuring the safe loading and unloading of materials. A commitment to safety and efficiency is essential in this position.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dump style truck with cart tipper on rear.
• Safely load and unload cargo at designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively regarding pick up schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
• Handle heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading materials.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in the waste industry or in a similar role is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on the road.
• Excellent time management skills
