Diesel Mechanic - Later Start Shift (FT or PT)

Eastern Waste Services is a growing commercial & residential waste collection company. We are seeking an Diesel Mechanic for second shift to maintain for our fleet.

Later start shift hours flexible between starting at 10 AM - or 6 PM or 12 Noon - 8 PM

Open to diesel mechanics seeking part time hours or less days than 5.

Starting compensation depends on experience

Responsibilities include:

• Preventative Maintenance
• Diagnostics
• Correcting vehicle / engine defects
• Record keeping

Job qualifications include:

• Have basic tool set (300 pc. set at minimum) - Must own tools
• Mechanical knowledge/mechanically inclined (Will train on specifics)
• Prior experience with diesel engines
• Knowledge of hydraulics
• Experience with various vehicle and engine types
• Can follow direction
• Able to work independently
• Excellent work ethic
• Has drivers's license and owns their vehicle
• Must work in all weather for road calls

ASE Certification is preferred (not required).

CDL license is preferred (not required).

Welding experience is also a plus.

Compensation will be according to your experience in a diesel technician capacity. We offer very competitive wages for this position. Excellent benefits are included in your compensation for full time.
