Job Description

CDL Class A Driver – Local Transfer Station to Landfill

Location: Metro Atlanta Area, GA
Position Type: Full-Time
Home Time: Home Daily

Join Our Growing Operation

Ajani Hauling & Logistics Inc. is expanding our Metro Atlanta waste-hauling operation and is seeking experienced, dependable CDL Class A Company Drivers and Owner-Operators.

Drivers transport municipal solid waste and related materials between local transfer stations and designated landfills.

This is local, home-daily work. No OTR and no extended time away from home.

We are currently hiring for two compensation structures:

OPTION 1 — COMPANY CDL CLASS A DRIVER

Bring your CDL — we provide the truck and cover truck operating expenses.

Compensation: $100 per completed load

Typical production may range from approximately 2–4 completed loads per day, depending on route assignment, facility wait times, traffic, Hours-of-Service limitations and customer volume.

Examples:

  • 2 loads = $200/day
  • 3 loads = $300/day
  • 4 loads = $400/day
  • 5 loads = $500/day

At 5–6 working days per week, earnings will depend on actual completed loads.

Company drivers do not pay for truck fuel, commercial truck insurance, tractor maintenance, tires or repairs.

Customer fuel surcharges and accessorial payments are retained by Ajani Hauling & Logistics Inc. unless otherwise stated in writing.

Company drivers are hired as W-2 employees and are subject to applicable payroll withholding.

OPTION 2 — CDL CLASS A OWNER-OPERATOR

Bring your own road-ready Class A tractor.

Compensation: 60% of qualifying gross load revenue

For an example route paying $14.00 per ton, a full 25-ton load generates:

25 tons × $14.00 = $350 gross load revenue

Owner-Operator 60% share:

$210 per completed 25-ton load before applicable expenses

Examples at that rate and tonnage:

  • 2 loads = $420
  • 3 loads = $630
  • 4 loads = $840

Actual compensation varies based on assigned route, actual tonnage, customer rate, completed loads and applicable agreement terms.

Under our current owner-operator structure, authorized operational fuel/DEF is allocated 60% to the owner-operator and 40% to Ajani Hauling & Logistics Inc.

Owner-operators are responsible for their tractor expenses, including applicable insurance costs, maintenance, repairs, tires, registration and other expenses identified in the Owner-Operator Agreement.

Owner-operators are independent contractors and must complete our owner-operator qualification, equipment lease, insurance and compliance process before dispatch.

Schedule & Operation

  • Metro Atlanta routes
  • Home daily
  • Typically 5–6 days per week
  • Early-morning and/or overnight start times depending on assignment
  • Transfer station → landfill → return
  • Multiple loads per shift
  • Drivers may preload a trailer for the following shift when required
  • Approximately 58 miles one way / 116 miles round trip on certain current route assignments
  • Actual routes and mileage may vary

No minimum number of loads, hours, weekly earnings or revenue is guaranteed. Load availability depends on customer volume, facility operations, route assignment, equipment availability, Hours-of-Service requirements and other operating conditions.
