Overview
Auto Recyclers is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our team in an entry-level training position. This is a hands-on job for someone who enjoys working around cars and trucks, isn't afraid to get dirty, and wants the opportunity to learn automotive and mechanical skills.
No professional automotive experience is required. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone who shows up, works hard, follows directions, and is a fast learner.
Responsibilities
- Help with vehicle builds, repairs, and other automotive projects
- Assist in our transmission and drivetrain shop with teardown, cleaning, parts preparation, and other work as trained
- Prepare salvage vehicles for crushing and recycling
- Remove parts and materials from vehicles as directed
- Clean parts, tools, equipment, workbenches, and shop areas
- Keep the shops and work areas clean and organized
- Move and organize automotive parts and equipment
- Assist with basic mechanical work as skills and experience develop
- Help with general salvage yard and shop duties as needed
What We're Looking For

- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors and getting dirty
- Able to perform physical work and lift automotive parts and equipment
- Interest in cars, trucks, mechanical work, or learning a skilled trade
- Previous automotive or mechanical experience is helpful but not required
- Valid driver's license preferred
Starting pay: $10.00 per hour
This position is designed as a starting point with room to grow. Someone who is motivated, dependable, takes initiative, and learns quickly will have opportunities to learn more advanced automotive, transmission, drivetrain, and salvage-yard work and potentially move into other positions within Auto Recyclers.
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Work Location: In person
