Job Summary

As an Automated Residential Collection Operator (CDL Class B) at Trash Rangers, you will operate specialized equipment to collect residential waste. This role requires manual and automatic controls to lift and load garbage, operate compactors, and ensure the efficient disposal of waste at designated landfills. You will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our community while operating large vehicles safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automatic controls to lift and load garbage into the truck.
• Operate compactor equipment and dispose of collected waste at the landfill.
• Clean waste from behind the packer blade and the truck body on each landfill run to ensure safe and smooth operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the vehicle.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors regarding route progress and any issues encountered.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in an outdoor setting, with exposure to various weather conditions. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license.
• Previous experience operating waste collection vehicles is preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to waste collection and disposal.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to handle the job’s demands, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Work Schedule

• 40-55 hours per week
