POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT –
Part Time Transfer Station Attendant Position

The Town of Enfield, NH, is searching for an employee that enjoys working with the public and wants to make a difference in their community. Our team has a current opening for a part-time (16-24 hours/week) Transfer Station Attendant.

Enfield is a community of approximately 4,600 permanent residents (the population increases substantially with seasonal residents during the summer months), situated in the Upper Valley Region approximately 10-20 minutes from the population centers of Lebanon and Hanover. Enfield is an attractive community with a wide range of local businesses, a proud Shaker cultural heritage, two large scenic lakes, and an abundance of open space.

Under the supervision of the Director of Public Works and the Lead Transfer Station Attendant this position is charged with:

· General transfer station operation

· Assisting residents with and answering questions regarding their solid waste and recycling and the Town program

· Keeping track of solid waste and recycling volumes

· Interacting with vendors

· Station maintenance and upkeep.

· Ensuring Town rules and regulations regarding use of the transfer station are followed

· Able to work outside in all weather and lift 50 pounds

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma and one year of work experience.

The position is 24 hours per week with a starting pay of $22.70 and is available immediately. The work schedule is Wednesdays 10-6, Saturdays and Sundays 8-4.
