Tipping Floor Lead

The primary responsibility of the tipping floor lead is to ensure the tipping floor is operated at excellence. This includes maintaining a clean floor, maintaining equipment and tipping floor operators unload waste and load the digesters every day with a good mix of MSW and sludge.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

PRIMARY DUTIES

Oversee operations to include:

· Ensure the loader operator notifies the trucks to enter by blowing the horn

· Ensure drivers place material at proper location for material wheel operator to access

· Ensure all front end loaders dewater prior to dumping

· Monitor C2 conveyor to ensure conveyor is running and compost overs is cleaned out

· Maintain tipping floor and hill in a safe driving condition to operate loader and unload trucks

· Inspect loads to record and document unacceptable waste

· Load digesters with wastes as required. Ensure all digesters are fully loaded before end of shift

· Utilize scales to ensure each digester has a good mix of dry, wet, candy, sludge and compost overs loaded into the digesters

· Operate rams to load digesters

· Cover digester pits with garbage when not in use

· Pull tanglers and demolition waste from the waste stream

· Inspect, service and operate front end loader including cleaning and preventative maintenance

· Adhere to all safety procedures

· Complete inspection forms and daily check lists

· Secure accessibility within the building

· Perform preventative and reactive maintenance as required to include: changing hydraulic lines, pumps and cylinders; repair leaks; change motors on ram units; greasing of machines; and

· Additional job duties as requested by management

Education, Skills & Abilities Required

· Must be minimum of 18 years of age

Must be able to pass a drug test

· Ability to operate equipment

· Must be able to perform the essential job functions
