Septic Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Septic Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of septic and grease waste using company vehicles. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform manual tasks associated with septic service operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport waste materials safely and efficiently
• Perform daily driver inspections and fill out inspection sheets
• Maintain daily driving records and route logs
• Run assigned routes to store or customer locations to pump out septic and grease tanks
• Operate vacuum pumps and ensure proper waste handling
• Transport waste to the offload site and complete all required disposal documentation
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure all equipment is in good working condition
• Load and unload materials in compliance with safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding service needs or route issues
• Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies
• Participate in safety and job training sessions — all drivers will have a driver trainer ride-along until signed off on safety and job performance

Experience & Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or B required
• Prefer a minimum of 5 years of driving experience, or willingness to be trained under company policy and paid as a Helper until fully signed off
• Proven experience in truck driving, preferably in commercial or delivery roles
• Experience with septic or waste management operations is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of local roads and route navigation
• Ability to operate manual transmissions

Additional Details

• Emergency calls pay extra on top of normal pay
• Full safety and job training provided until driver is cleared for independent operation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
