Permanent Part-Time Scale Operator-Salem and Tinker Creek Transfer Stations

The Roanoke Valley Resource Authority is seeking a permanent part-time scale operator to perform skilled work related to weighing vehicles and collecting appropriate fees at the Salem and Tinker Creek Transfer Stations. This position weighs all vehicles entering and leaving the transfer station; collects appropriate fees for cash customers; skilled in the operation of computers and data entry; and excellent customer service. Three years minimum cashier experience, cashier balancing preferred; three years minimum customer service experience, three years minimum computer and data entry experience. Saturday and holiday work may be required. May lead to full time employment.

Education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Salary Range: $15 an hour to start. Subject to a complete criminal background check and drug screen.
