Job Description

Komar Industries, is a market leader in industrial waste and recycling processing solutions. The company manufactures and services balers, compactors, and provides parts and resources to customers.

BACE is seeking a skilled MIG Welder / Robotic Welding Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing MIG welding, operating robotic welding equipment, inspecting weld quality, and supporting the fabrication of heavy-duty waste and recycling equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components according to engineering drawings and welding specifications.
  • Operate and monitor robotic welding cells to ensure quality welds and production efficiency.
  • Load and unload parts into robotic welding fixtures and verify proper positioning.
  • Set up welding fixtures, jigs, and tooling as required.
  • Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, penetration, and compliance with specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
  • Perform grinding, fitting, and finishing operations as needed.
  • Measure completed parts using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other inspection tools.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and productivity.

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Experience operating robotic welding equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, weld quality, and metal fabrication processes.
  • Experience using hand tools, grinders, and measuring equipment.
