Junk removal is more complex than it looks! At Hauler! our top priorities are customer satisfaction and diverting items from the landfill, and we are looking for a new team leader who will take both of these priorities to heart.

What you'll do:

As well as loading trucks full of junk, you'll need to

• Prepare the daily schedule and gather job details throughout the day via Google Calendar
• Understand how to bill appropriately and collect payment
• Track job site access and contact clients with a friendly confirmation before and upon arrival
• Load trucks with the correct equipment for the days scheduled jobs before leaving the warehouse, average start is 830 AM
• On a job you will oversee sorting items by destination: hazardous waste, recycling, resale, or landfill
• Work carefully and neatly to avoid any damage to client property
• Coordinate warehouse drop offs with Still Good, our online resale partner, with items for resale
• Assign daily tasks based on your team’s individual strengths
• Encourage coworkers

As the crew leader you’ll need to keep in mind another crew is elsewhere in the city working and filling a truck. Will they need help, supplies, lunch? How much space is on your truck, how much space is in the warehouse? It’s a lot of being aware of things outside of your immediate situation, communicating and coordinating.

Requirements:

• Experience driving a 16’ box truck or similar
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely lift 125 lbs
• Strong safety awareness, for yourself and your team

Spanish is a big plus! English is mandatory.

We start at 8:30AM Mon-Fri. Work till jobs are done, between 3 and 6 pm. In addition, some mornings we start as early as 6am, in special circumstances. Rarely do we work weekends.

This can be a dirty disgusting job some days. Other days you are working for high society. Respect for clients at both ends is important. Tolerance of rotten food and raccoon poop is necessary. Personal Protective Equipment is provided.

Pay: Starting at $30 an hour based on experience and depending on the level of managerial responsibility you are willing to take on. We are focusing on client relations, team leadership and scheduling, in addition to daily labor.

One week paid vacation.
Christmas, New Years, July 4th off.
