DUMP TRUCK DRIVER

Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, and dirt to various job sites.

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with site supervisors to determine delivery schedules and routes.
• Maintain accurate records of material transported, including quantities and delivery locations.
• Able to maneuver and control vehicles in traffic on both rural, narrow roads, and congested urban streets and highways.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintenance on the dump truck as needed.
• Must be able to drive off road on uneven surfaces.
• When necessary, you must be able to climb into bed of truck and shovel wet or frozen material from the bed of truck.
• Washing and cleaning of truck interior, exterior, and truck bed.

Skills

• Proven experience in dump truck operation with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation.
• MSHA training or completion of MSHA training prior to driving solo.
• Familiarity with grader operation, bulldozing, and digging tasks is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while following instructions from supervisors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and site personnel.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; additional certifications for operating heavy machinery are a plus.
• Able to pass pre employment drug/alcohol testing and randoms.
