Join our dynamic team as a Driver for our Septic Truck operations! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating specialized septic service trucks to perform waste removal, maintenance, and sanitation services. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent route management will ensure efficient service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. Duties
- Safely operate septic trucks equipped with tanker and specialized waste handling systems, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Navigate using GPS systems to efficiently plan and follow assigned routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes when necessary.
- Load, unload, and transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking refrigeration units if applicable, to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as connecting hoses, cleaning tanks, and managing logistics cargo handling for seamless service delivery.
- Load and unload equipment or waste containers using truck loading/unloading techniques, ensuring safe manual handling practices.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, route details, and compliance documentation following FMCSA and DOT standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams using GPS navigation systems to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs across various locations.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers or septic trucks.
- Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations including FMCSA, DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently while adhering to safety standards.
- Skilled in route driving with GPS navigation tools for efficient planning and execution of over-the-road routes.
- Experience with freight transportation, logistics cargo handling, flatbed or tanker operations preferred.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers is a plus for transporting temperature-sensitive equipment or materials.
- Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload tasks involving hazardous or bulky materials.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 50.0 per week
