Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will be vital to maintaining our high standards of safety and efficiency. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after routes.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with federal regulations.
• Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and minimizing delays.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
• Proven truck driving experience with knowledge of route planning and delivery procedures.
• Ability to load and unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment; forklift certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with operating different truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving, cargo handling, and vehicle maintenance.
