Great Lakes Industrial is actively hiring an experienced CDL Class A Operator who can immediately step into a truck and go to work.

This is NOT an entry-level position. We are NOT looking for trainees, recent CDL graduates, or drivers requiring extensive instruction.

The ideal candidate has previous experience operating vacuum trucks, liquid vacs, roll-offs, hydrovacs, tankers, water blasting equipment, or similar industrial service equipment and can safely perform work with minimal supervision.

If you need us to teach you how to operate commercial equipment from the ground up, this position is not a fit.

Required Experience

• Valid Class A CDL
• Tanker Endorsement Required
• Minimum 3 years CDL driving experience
• Previous vacuum truck, tanker, hydrovac, roll-off, industrial cleaning, environmental services, oilfield, or related experience strongly preferred
• Ability to safely navigate job sites, industrial facilities, refineries, steel mills, and construction projects
• Experience completing DOT logs, inspections, manifests, and transportation paperwork
• Ability to pass DOT drug screen and background check

What You'll Do

• Operate vacuum trucks, liquid vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, water blasters, and support equipment
• Transport waste, liquids, drums, totes, and materials safely and legally
• Perform tank cleanouts, industrial cleaning, hydroblasting, spill response, and environmental service work
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete manifests, driver logs, and job documentation accurately
• Work safely around industrial facilities, confined spaces, and active construction environments
• Maintain equipment and identify mechanical issues before they become problems
• Ability to operate trucks with a Manual transmission
