2. Roll-Off Subhauler / Owner-Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of commercial trucks including Tractor trailer , and roll-off trucks with precision and safety.
• Load, transport, and unload waste materials efficiently while adhering to hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical integrity; perform minor mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
• Follow established routes for municipal waste collection, ensuring timely pickups while complying with traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Safely load and unload containers using manual handling techniques or front-end loaders as required; perform heavy lifting when necessary.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement; experience operating manual transmission preferred.
• Proven experience operating roll-off trucks, front loaders, rear loaders, and garbage trucks in a municipal or commercial setting.
• Solid knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols.
• Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs; familiarity with heavy-duty truck systems is a plus.
• Demonstrated safe driving record with defensive driving skills; commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times.
• Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
