Automotive Technician/Mechanic/Dismantler (Jeep Wrangler focused salvage yard, 2 years exp)

Baseline 4x4 Recyclers is looking for a full time Dismantler. This detail-oriented team player will primarily be responsible for dismantling and/or rebuilding motors, axles, and other driveline components. Prospective employees must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to determine proper disposition of automotive components. Duties include but are not limited to the following

Job Duties

• Safely dismantle complete vehicles (primarily Jeep Wranglers) with hand/power tools and lifting equipment.
• Identify, tag, and document reusable parts; protect parts from damage during removal.
• Drain/handle fluids per environmental & safety procedures (oil, coolant, fuel, etc.).
• Use hoists, engine cranes, and forklifts/pallet jacks to move assemblies.
• Enter basic part details into our inventory system; work with sales/warehouse to stage orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized bay; follow shop safety and PPE standards.

Requirements

• 2+ year of relevant hands-on mechanical/teardown/auto tech experience (shop, salvage, or DIY builds all count).
• Solid tool skills: impact, ratchets, torque tools, pullers, saws/air tools; ability to read part diagrams or service info.
• Jeep knowledge is a big plus (Wrangler generations, common fasteners, common failure points).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs, stand/bend for long periods, and work in a shop environment year-round.
• Enter basic part details into our inventory system; work with sales/warehouse to stage orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized bay; follow shop safety and PPE standards.

We are open Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, and offer PTO, insurance, and holidays. We are a drug and tobacco free workplace. Pay $24-$30 depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
