Weekend Scrap Yard Worker

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Weekend Scrap Yard Worker to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, isn’t afraid to get dirty, and can provide friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Weekend-only position
• 10-hour shifts
• Must be dependable and available for the full scheduled shift

Job Duties

• Check customers in and process transactions using company software (training provided)
• Safely operate a forklift and other yard equipment
• Assist with receiving, sorting, and identifying scrap metal
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working in ascrap yard environment- this is a physical, dirty job
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a 10-hour shift
• Forklift experience
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals is a major plus, but not required
• Must be reliable, willing to learn, and able to work well with a team

No scrap metal experience? That’s okay. We’re willing to teach the right person who shows up, works hard, learns quickly, and has a good attitude.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
