Position Summary
Platinum Pro Portables is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented Sanitation Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for servicing portable restrooms, hand wash stations, holding tanks, and related rental equipment at construction sites, special events, commercial properties, and government facilities throughout Southern California.
The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining clean equipment, providing excellent customer service, operating safely, and representing Platinum Pro Portables professionally in the field.
This position operates independently throughout the day while maintaining communication with dispatch and operations staff.

Typical Day
Successful technicians typically:
- Start each morning by conducting a pre-trip vehicle inspection.
- Review route assignments and load necessary supplies.
- Drive a company service truck throughout an assigned territory.
- Service portable restrooms, hand wash stations, holding tanks, and related equipment.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes and customer requests.
- Document completed services using company software and mobile technology.
- Identify equipment needing repair, replacement, or additional service.
- Build positive relationships with customers on jobsites.
- Return to the yard at the end of the day and prepare equipment for the next shift.
Most technicians spend the majority of their day independently managing their assigned route while providing excellent service to customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Safely operate company service trucks and equipment.
- Service portable restrooms, hand wash stations, holding tanks, and related rental equipment according to Platinum Pro Portables service standards.
- Pump, clean, sanitize, deodorize, and restock units.
- Replenish toilet paper, paper towels, soap, sanitizer, and other consumable supplies.
- Complete all assigned route stops accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize company routing software and mobile applications to document completed services.
- Maintain accurate service records, notes, photos, and customer communications.
- Report inaccessible units, damaged equipment, customer concerns, or service issues immediately.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain assigned truck in clean and safe operating condition.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, project managers, and coworkers.
- Assist with equipment deliveries, exchanges, removals, and emergency service requests as needed.
- Support restroom trailer and freshwater delivery operations when required.
- Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Experience driving commercial vehicles.
- Portable sanitation, septic, waste, construction, or service-route experience preferred.
- Customer service experience is a plus.

License Requirements
Required:
- Valid California Driver License with clean driving record.
Preferred:
- Class B Commercial Driver License.
- Tanker Endorsement.
- Air Brake Endorsement.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
Platinum Pro Portables will assist qualified employees in obtaining CDL licensing and endorsements when applicable.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This position is performed primarily outdoors and requires physical labor throughout the workday.
Employees must be able to:
- Frequently enter and exit service vehicles.
- Pull and maneuver service hoses.
- Lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Walk on uneven construction sites and outdoor terrain.
- Work in hot, cold, windy, dusty, and wet weather conditions.
- Perform repetitive bending, lifting, reaching, and standing.
