Overview: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the restaurant operations, including staff management, customer service, financial performance, and compliance with health and safety regulations. They ensure the restaurant delivers exceptional food and service while maintaining a positive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, monitoring service quality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Oversee daily activities, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of facilities.
Hire, train, schedule, and manage a team of restaurant employees. Foster a positive workplace and address performance issues.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Manage budgets, control costs, monitor sales, and ensure profitability. Handle payroll, vendor processes, and financial reporting.
Ensure all safety/security procedures are practiced and that no unsafe conditions exist at any time.
Maintain Subway operating hours, as directed by the District Manager, including personally remaining available to cover shifts in an emergency to keep the location operational.
Monitor food stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste to optimize costs.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all company issues.
Requirements:
2+ years' experience in restaurant management or supervisory role required.
Strong leadership skills preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices required.
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Able to stand for extended periods of time, lift, stoop, and reach.
Consistently lift a minimum of 10 pounds
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
