Garbage Collector / Trash Picker

Jim Collins Services, LLC is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Garbage Collector / Trash Picker. This position involves riding on the rear of a garbage truck and collecting residential and commercial waste along designated routes.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and load trash, recycling, and waste materials into collection vehicles
• Ride on the rear of the garbage truck between stops
• Lift, carry, and empty trash containers safely and efficiently
• Follow all company safety procedures and traffic regulations
• Provide courteous service to customers when necessary
• Assist the driver with route completion and general job duties

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds throughout the workday
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
• Previous waste collection, labor, or similar experience is a plus, but not required
