Part Time Pet Waste Technician

Pet Waste Technician (Part-Time, starting at $17.13–$22/hr depending on location + experience) – Seattle/Shoreline/Burien Area

Can Doo Pet Waste Service is Seattle’s friendliest and fastest-growing pet waste removal company-and we’re hiring! If you’ve got a great attitude, enjoy working outside, and aren’t above scooping poop to make pet parents’ lives easier, this could be the perfect part-time role for you.

About the Job

You’ll drive from home to homes and businesses in King County to clean up dog waste, interact with pups, and leave properties spotless. Waste stays on-site in the customer’s bin. You’ll carry your rake, scooper, bags, and sanitizer (all provided by us). This is active, independent, outdoor work that gives you fresh air, flexibility, and lots of steps. Starting at $17.13–$22/hr.

Responsibilities

• Follow route and job details via our mobile app
• Scoop and bag dog waste in residential yards and commercial properties
• Leave bags in the customer’s bin (you do not haul waste)
• Lock gates securely (photo confirmation required)
• Maintain clear communication with the Can Doo team
• Work outdoors in all weather—rain, heat, cold, and wind
• Help with marketing like door hangers and yard signs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Positive attitude and willingness to do dirty work with pride
• Reliable personal vehicle for the first 90 days (mileage reimbursed)
• Finalists will undergo a driving record review and criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment is made.
• Must be 18 or older
• Smartphone with GPS
• Responsible, reliable, detail-oriented (we scoop every pile!), and communicative
• Be able to physically work on foot for several hours in all types of back yard terrain. We scoop in grass, rocks, flower beds, patios. We scoop everywhere including under trampolines!
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds (some dogs poop A LOT)
• You must be an early riser, we start at 7AM most of the year.
• Able to work in rain as well as heat and cold. We work as long as it is safe!

After 90 days: A Can Doo company vehicle may be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with landscaping, delivery, or field-based work
• Outdoor work experience
• Experience working with dogs
• Experience route driving or keeping on a tight schedule with high attention to detail
