We are seeking a successful Operations Administrator to join our team to assist our organization in providing a successful work environment where our employees can be safe, thrive and give their personal best each day. This position is expected to work out of our office at 610 E. Gish Rd. in San Jose and some job-related travel may be required.
Position Summary:
GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Operations Administrator to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s main function will gather and analyze operations data for the organization, supporting management and leadership in making informed and objective business and assist with safety support decisions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with operations manager and business leaders to understand management objectives and to identify and implement relevant data, policy, and metrics.
- Answers phones and responds to requests and inquiries
- Track and maintain inventory of operational supplies
- Provide administrative support to the operations manager
- Reviews safety parameters and requirements with operations manager
- Prepares and distributes or delivers safety follow up reports that identify, explain, and evaluate problems and available solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conduct field audits with drivers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, Degree in business administration preferred
- Safety experience or background
Language Skill:
- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to walk, stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold weather.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending and twisting.
- Constant climbing ladders, in and out of equipment.
Work Environment:
Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, service city/town and routes based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
