Material Sorter

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated SPANISH SPEAKING Material Sorter. Must speak SPANISH and understand english to join our waste management and recycling operations team. In this role, you will be sorting recyclable and non-recyclable materials at our facility in Brooklyn. This position offers an engaging outdoor work environment where safety, teamwork are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Sort materials from roll-off trucks, and dump trucks to move recyclable materials and construction demolition debris safely and efficiently.
• Sort incoming recyclable materials from various sources, separating items based on type, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to maintain safety during all operations.

Skills

• Ability to perform some heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques.
• Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions with a focus on safety.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting operational issues promptly.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
